26th February 2008 -  

New Version of PDT released : v3.2b. This is the same as version 3.2a but it now works under Java 1.6 as well. So report generation and diagram saving works now with Java 1.6. Note that it still needs Java 1.5 for higher.

Note - this version is not compatible with project files created by pre- 3.0 versions.

Note - this version requires Java version 1.5.

Note - There are some known issues with PDT running using the JAVA 1.6 beta release. In particular, report generation is not stable and also on start up, the first click on a diagram throws an exception, although it doesn't affect the execution thereafter. Given that Java 1.6 is still in Beta release we won't attempt to address these issues just yet.

22nd July 2007 -  

PDT released : V3.1

Note that this version is not backward compatible and old files cannot be opened with this version. This version has various bugs related to protocols and code generation fixed. A list of changes will be released soon.

Notably the code generation now allows iteration between the design and code, allowing users to manually edit code that is not affected if the code is regenerated

This version fixes the following bugs in 3.0

13th July 2007 - v3.0 - This version is replaced by 3.1.

28th July 2006 -  v2.5f

Various bugs (including that in code generation) fixed. The protocol specification follows stricter AUML2.

Note - this version is not compatible with project files produced by versions of PDT prior to 2.0. Files created using Versions 2.0-2.3b should be converted by following the instructions in order for them to be compatible with this version - conversion instructions

Note - this version requires Java version 1.5 or above.

Note - the code generation does not currently allow iteration between design and code, after the code is manually edited. We will release a new version with the correct functionality soon. This beta version was released due to the significant extra functionality and change in naming. If you encounter any bugs please send it to pdt@cs.rmit.edu.au.

This uses Java Web Start and requires that you have installed the Java Runtime Environment (v1.4 or later) (Java Web Start is part of the standard JRE distribution for v1.4).
