Join RACT

We are very interested in motivated students interested in joining the RACT group. What you need is good handle of Java, a desired to learn and explore new areas and techniques, and be self-motivated. Agent familiarity would be beneficial, but it is not required. You can propose your own idea or just pick one of our pending tasks to be implemented.

Possible sub-projects

These are some of the pending projects that we have in mind to implement:

1. Develop an interactive GUI for the application where humans and agents can interact.
2. Abstract high-level object recognition (e.g., recognize walls, corridors, doors, mazes, etc).
3. Develop a human-agent interaction architecture, in which humans and agents can cooperate.
4. Integrate powerful path planning techniques for agents to navigate the grid smartly.
5. Re-design current system to accommodate long-term goals & intentions.
   
6. Extend current implementations to teams using JACK Teams.
7. Extend GUI to handle zoomable and big grids.
