Announcements

• Thanks to sponsorship by the University of Catania, Telecom Italia and a local Sicilian company Bound IT, we are able to offer free wireless internet service at the conference premises (La Perla Ionica = LPI). Note that fixed connections are not provided though.
  
  
• Lunches and dinners are agreed at a fixed price, to be billed individually to your room (breakfast is included), or if you are not a resident of LPI or you are an accompanying person, against meal tickets sold at the OnTheMove registration desk. We are very glad to announce that LPI was able to lower the price for the dinner (now 18 euro, including wines/drinks) and will offer a lighter lunch (without wines) at 15 euro. Please let the conference desk know in advance of special dietary restrictions;
  
  
• the OnTheMove 2003 Conference Dinner, will be held on Wednaddy Nov 5 at LPI. The cost of the dinner will be partly sponsored by the organisers: you will be billed only 18 euros including beverages.
  
  
• LPI can try to arrange shared taxis from Catania airport directly to the conference center in Acireale (approx 30kms, contact LPI for prices and arrangements);
  
  
• There will be an advance registration desk set up at LPI on Sunday Nov. 2 from 16:00 to 18:00, so you can avoid the rush on Monday morning; the desk will otherwise function nearly continuously during the week;
  
  
• There is a welcome reception for all participants and accompanying persons on Tuesday Nov. 4, after that day's lectures, and a piano bar will operate in the evenings during the week (except Wednesday);
  
  
• Please note that your conference badge will clearly indicate the events for which you are registered, but attendants will be available to assist you in case you would inadvertently stray into the wrong hall.
  
  
• Should you be unable to resist a particular extra workshop or conference while on-site, the conference desk will gladly arrange a late registration at list price, without penalty.
  
  
• If you haven't booked your room at the conference center yet, please consider to do so at the earliest opportunity (use the form to be faxed found on our website) since the number of rooms is limited, as is accommodation availability nearby. Note the center actually is in Acireale, about 18 km (11 miles) north of Catania!
  
  

Special notes for presenting authors:

• We won't be able to provide laptops or other PCs for your presentations, so please bring your own or e.g. arrange with a fellow presenter in your session to use his/hers, we expect there will be lots around but contact the Local Organisation Chair on-site if you are nevertheless unsuccessful;
  
  
• Please check in the Final Program who is your session chair and make yourself known to him/her in advance (in the absence of a designated session chair, contact your event's Program Chair)
  
  
• Poster displays take place in a separate room parallel to the conferences on Mon 3 pm, Tue 4, Wed 5, Thu 6 am (= 6 half days). Large easel will be available for putting up posters. Each poster will have one 1m x 2m side of a two-side easel for the following times:
