(From hardware influences to implementation techniques using MRG as a case study)

Speaker Bio

Carl Trieloff, Senior Consulting Software Engineer at Red Hat, has over 17 years of enterprise engineering experience in Trading Exchanges, Middleware, Messaging technologies, distributed systems (SOA), including work on many mission critical control systems.

Since joining Red Hat, Carl has been driving strategy and running engineering for MRG (Messaging, Realtime, Grid) in the Emerging Technologies group reporting to the CTO, and leads the Red Hat MRG product group. Prior to joining Red Hat, served as Director of Open Source at IONA Technologies, driving the creation of both commercial, open source ESB's, Eclipse tooling and other OSS projects. Carl has also been CTO and VP Development of Exchange America where he was responsible for technical strategy, development team, and service operations. Carl has designed and implemented many control systems, and large distributed highly available command and control networks.

Carl received his B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering and Micro Processor design and thesis in distributed network redundancy and compensation from the University of Pretoria.
