Abstract:

Why is performance so critical to the success of a project?  What needs to be tuned?  A methodology for tuning to remove risk and have a successful implementation  Some real life performance issues that we should learn from.

About the speaker:

Mark Gurry is a performance tuning specialist that runs a Melbourne headquartered Company called MGA. The Company has branches in Melbourne (Head Office), Sydney and Seattle. He has produced several "best selling" books including Oracle Performance Tuning and Oracle SQL Tuning. He has personally trained Peoplesoft developers and Benchmarkers at Pleasanton in US as well as Peoplesoft Consultants in the Asia Pacific.

Mark has produced products for  Quest USA and has more recently produced MGA EagleEye, a performance product that is developed by MGA in Melbourne and sold internationally. He has written and presented several performance tuning training courses for Oracle Corporation.
